In 2011, three months before Yale-New Haven Hospital was going to hold their very first cycling event to support their brand new cancer center, we got a desperate call: Can you help us produce our brand new cycling event? Since then, we’ve grown the Closer to Free Ride into the region’s best — even when it has to be virtual. The event has raised more than $21 million since we began and we can’t wait to get back in the saddle on all five routes for all 3,000+ riders.
